EM Arts is a professional development, arts, health and fitness education company.  Dedicated to providing the best services and practical instructional support that forwards the advancement of wellness in schools for staff and students.

Our mission focuses our attention in prioritizing teachers wellness, innovating arts programs, administering program development, and introducing nature based education from venerate professionals.  EM Arts infuses our supportive teams to enhance existing academic instruction and provides comprehensive educational platforms for overall wellness/talent retention and human development.  

Our organization helps schools increase the capacity of their students and improves school culture through movement and arts education. EM Arts serves NYC by administering the following in schools: vertical team building, curriculum and professional development, extended day programming, enrichment through the arts, movement education programs; organizing outdoor excursions; and providing wellness support for teachers and staff.

The CEO

Emory M. Moore Jr., MSME/T, the visionary Founder and CEO of EM Arts and Wellness, embodies a lifelong commitment to education, arts, and wellness. With over 35 years of experience, Emory is a trailblazer and pioneer in the field of exercise and movement. He holds multiple certifications in areas ranging from martial arts and dance to yoga, Pilates, and somatic therapy. His dedication to learning and teaching has left an indelible mark on the fitness landscape, having trained scores of teachers in the U.S. and Europe who have gone on to shape the fitness industry as we know it today.

As the driving force behind EM Arts and Wellness, Emory M. Moore Jr. is directly responsible for shaping the organization's policies and structure. With a remarkable team, including Jerome Jordan overseeing field operations, Mandy Chan handling logistics and administration, and a board comprising individuals with extensive experience in education and the arts, Emory brings a wealth of leadership and expertise to the company. EM Arts and Wellness provides arts and wellness-based services for education, government, NGOs, and the private sector, offering program administration, professional development, and team-building services. Emory's innovative approach combines martial arts, yoga, dance, and developmentally appropriate fitness training to create EM LifeWork TM, an original wellness curriculum for both youth and adults. His tireless passion for learning and teaching underscores the company's commitment to excellence and empowerment through the arts and wellness.

Administrator director

Jerome Jordan

Jerome Jordan, a multifaceted artist, educator, and administrator, brings a wealth of experience and talent to his role as the Administrative Director of EM Arts and Wellness Education Services. As an artist, Jerome has collaborated with renowned figures such as Saul Williams, Tamar Kali, The Wu Tang Clan, Pharrel, and Mary J. Blige, demonstrating his creative prowess and versatility.

In the realm of education, Jerome's expertise extends to teaching music both privately and in group settings, harnessing his musical, theatrical, and visual arts skills to facilitate creative arts therapy.

During his tenure as the Assistant Director at CCM Guidance, he developed systems for office functionality, created treatment plans, and conducted individual and group therapy sessions for students with special needs. Additionally, Jerome has a remarkable track record of producing public programs for over a decade at the Schomburg Center, featuring influential figures like Maya Angelou, Ruby Dee, and Muhammed Ali.

Now, as the Administrative Director at EM Arts, Jerome brings his rich background as an artist, educator, and administrator to foster innovation and excellence in arts and wellness education, contributing significantly to the organization's mission and success. His diverse skill set, leadership abilities, and commitment to holistic education make him a valuable asset to EM Arts and its mission to empower students through the arts.

 

Logistical Director

Mandy Sau Yi Chan


Mandy Sau Yi Chan serves as the Logistical Director at our education services company, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our programs. With a background encompassing dance, Pilates, Yoga, Holistic Health Coaching, and Somatic Movement Therapy, Mandy brings a holistic approach to her work. She guides clients through embodied anatomy exploration, emphasizing sensory awareness, posture improvement, injury prevention, and enhanced daily performance. Mandy's dedication to breathing work, effortless strength, personal empowerment, and whole-body integration shines through her teaching and administrative expertise.

Hailing from Hong Kong, Mandy boasts over 19 years of teaching experience in New York City. Her extensive education includes Dynamic Embodiment Training under Dr. Martha Eddy and further somatic education with Amy Matthews at the Breathing Project. She is a Board Member and Master Somatic Movement Therapist with ISMETA, certified in Pilates through the PhysicalMind Institute and Balanced Body University's Bridge Program, a certified Yoga teacher via the OM Yoga Center, and a certified Holistic Health Counselor from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Mandy is also a Reiki practitioner and a distinguished dancer, holding a B.F.A. in Dance with First Class Honors from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and an M.F.A. in Dance from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Her extensive qualifications and rich background make her an invaluable asset as Logistical Director, overseeing facilitation, billing, scheduling, and communications for EM Arts and Wellness Education Services.

Yalini Dream

Yalini is a performer, organizer, educator, and consultant with over

fifteen years of experience using artistic tools for healing, organizing,

and empowerment with communities contending with violence, oppression, and trauma. She

has a vast range of experience with organizational development having

served as a consultant in areas of programming, community organizing, base building,

leadership development, operations, facilitation, strategic visioning, and inclusion.  She has facilitated meetings, workshops,

trainings, projects, retreats, and intensives internationally in Europe,

Asia, and Africa and at numerous universities.  In addition to EM Arts, YaliniDream is a consultant with Vision

Change Win, was an Artist in Residence at the University of Michigan's

Center for World Performance Studies, and taught "Social Justice

Pedagogy and the Arts" at University of San Francisco's Graduate Program in Human

Rights.

The teaching artists of EM Arts are all professional artists. Many of whom have dedicated the majority of their lives to the development of their respective arts forms and make a living from the creation and propagation thereof. We are qualified to model and exemplify the systems we teach ensuring that your students receive an authentic education from the basics to the professional level.
